Georgina Council​

Regional Councillor

As Georgina's Regional Councillor, I have two important roles.  Our Regional Councillor serves on York Region's council with 21 other representatives from all 9 York Region municipalities.  Georgina's Regional Councillor also serves locally at Georgina's council table.  The role also serves to back up the mayor, should she or he not be available.

The mayor in Georgina is also a member of York Region's council, and serves as head of council in Georgina, and chair of all council meetings. The mayor also serves as Georgina's CEO.

Ward Councillor

Georgina is divided into 5 separate wards.  During elections, one member from each ward is elected to serve on our local council.
